Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted anything since January. I'm such a slacker.
A lot has happened in the last four months. My dear Grandma passed away, I miss her so much. My Grandfather found out he has cancer, which he is doing everything he can to take care of. Luckily the good Lord is watching out for him and everything seems to be under control at the moment. Love him to pieces. :)
My baby boy turned a year old! I can't believe it, this was possibly the fastest year of my life. He is going on 14 months now, running, getting in trouble, and attempting to talk. Can't believe my baby is growing up so fast...
I just completed my second semester at college, finished with a 3.2 GPA with an average over the two semesters of a 3.7. I can't complain, I got straight A's the first semester and then one A and four B+ the second. I am thoroughly enjoying the summer break, but am still looking forward to the start of the next semester.
We have planted a nice size garden this year. My beans are just starting to push through the ground, I'm so glad to see them!! I still have to plant peas, onions, and some peppers, but then I'm done. I'm looking forward to harvest time, I will be doing a lot of canning this year! I have planted a lot more flowers this year than in years past. I took it upon myself to clean up the bushes around the house some and made room for a few small flower beds. I will have to post some pictures soon, it doesn't look half bad. There is a lot more pruning to be done, but not until fall. The ones I pruned I took completely down, so there was no worries of killing anything! I got into some poison ivy while I was cleaning up and am now covered in it. It's on my arms, stomach, legs, neck, face. *sigh* I'm not sure how it got EVERYWHERE, I was wearing clothes. :P
We bought a horse from my cousin a few weeks ago. I haven't had much time to work with him, but he seems like he needs it. We got him out to have his hooves trimmed and it didn't go very well. He has no respect for humans what-so-ever, and he seems to be fully aware that he is MUCH bigger than we are and can really do what he pleases. I think with some work though he will be a good horse, I assume his attitude is from lack of handling. After you are with him for a few minutes he seems to be ok, but still has some issues. This is the first time I have had a horse since Haley. I honestly don't know that I have the nerve to ride, but it is nice to have a big pet to love on. :P
Eddie is napping, and I was going to cut grass but I ran out of gas. So I guess I should go clean the house....
