Leaky Diapers...*sigh*

I'm having a hard time finding diapers that won't leak with Eddie.  Every time he has a dirty diaper they leak! The poor boy goes through several changes of clothes because of it, and on occasion I have to change his sheets in the middle of the night, as I did last night. The main problem with this is I still don't have a drier, so it's not so easy to just wash his sheets and such as soon as it happens...I'm limited to crib sheets, guess I need to get another pack!  I don't know if it's the brand or what. I don't remember having this problem with the Huggies, but I haven't used any in awhile, none at all since he's been in a size 4. The Dollar General brand size 4 leaks from every angle.  Twice last night he wet the bed and his pj's because of it.  I don't think he's already outgrown the size 4, though I guess it could be possible. The DG brand looks a little too small, but the Parent's Choice did fine (other than really dirty ones). I have a few of the PC brand left in my diaper bag, I think I'll use those for night time, at least I won't have to change the sheets in the middle of the night!  I'm going to have to run to town tomorrow to get a few things, so I'm going to pick up a small pack of Huggies and see if they help anyway...Here's for hoping!

  1. Are you sure you he needs a size 4 diaper? I can't remember whether it was Alan or Savannah never even made it to size 4. They were potty trained first, and I've NEVER had a kid in size 5. Elizabeth is in size 2 right now and will be for a while still. As far as brands, I've always been a Parent's Choice gal except for very early and then I've used Luvs. PC has not worked for Elizabeth yet though, so when I'm using disposables, I still use Luvs. They're my favorite "name" brand cause they're still sorta cheap. Pampers and Huggies are just so dang expensive, I'd rather let them pee/poop on the floor than spend that kind of money! :)

  3. Yeah, he definitely needs a size 4, the 3s don't even cover him up anymore! If it weren't for the length he wouldn't need them so big I don't think. I got him some Snug and Dry Huggies yesterday and he's had two dirties and no leaks so far...I like PC too, but they were still leaking all the time, and the Luvs were too. :( When he was really little Luvs were my favorite. If my drier were fixed I would just buy the PC brand and wash his clothes/sheets when they were dirty, but it is less expensive to buy Huggies then to run to the laundromat so often! I only have 3 pairs of sheets, 2 of which I had to change in one night...I think one reason he was leaking in the PC is because they're kind of lose around his legs, so if he had a dirty it would leak out, so I'm hoping I can go back to them pretty soon. He is in the 18 lb. ball park too, but he's only 4 1/2 months! :P May be I should try Luvs again...
